Angel Falls

ANGEL FALLS

Get to know the highest waterfall in the world. 979 meters high, these falls offer an experience for life. You can visit it in a single day, on a tour that includes terrestrial vehicles, a few hours in curiaras (an indigenous boat) on the rivers Carrao and Churún, and a trekking of about an hour. Weather permitting; you can visit the pool at the base of the falls. You can also make a two-day trip to the falls, spending the night in a hammock in the camp facing the falls.

Full day Angel Falls

Departure from Wakü Lodge at 5:00 am. Previously, we provide you with coffee, milk, biscuits and cereal. After transportation to Ucaima port, we will take a curiara (an indigenous boat) to navigate over the Carrao River, where you will be able to contemplate the jungle landscape. To avoid the rapid water streams of Mayupa, we will disembark in order to walk and take the boats again on the other side of the savannah.

Arriving to Isla Orquídea Camp, we will have breakfast and will continue our journey. Soon after we will get to Ratoncito Island, from which we will be able to have a look at the Ángel Falls. From there, we will take a walk (1 hour long) to the Mirador rock, and, weather permitting; we will continue the journey to the natural pool at the base of the falls. Finally, we will have a traditional meal at Ratoncito Island, and then return to Wakü Lodge. Total excursion time: 12 hours approximately.

LIVE ANGEL FALLS

There, you will sleep in the traditional hammocks with a blanket and mosquito net. The morning after, we will take you back to Wakü Lodge. Total excursion time: 24 hours approximately.
