DISCOVER ANGEL FALLS ON A ONE-DAY TOUR
Get to know the highest waterfall on Earth. This journey takes you through rivers, savannas, and rainforest, allowing you to explore one of the world’s most iconic natural wonders up close. A guided, active experience, ideal for travelers who prefer a shorter adventure and the comfort of returning to the lodge by nightfall.
We also offer the Overnight Angel Falls option.
We depart Wakü Lodge before sunrise, heading to Ucaima Port in our jungle vehicles, where the curiaras (indigenous motorized canoes) await. We navigate the Carrao River, while enjoying the sunrise and the surrounding wilderness. Upon arriving in Mayupa, we disembark for a short jungle walk, then reboard the curiaras on the other side of the savanna. From there, we continue to Orchid Island Camp, where breakfast is served.
After breakfast, we navigate toward Ratoncito Island Camp, located directly across from Angel Falls. From there, we begin a 1-hour steep hike to El Mirador, the perfect viewpoint to admire Angel Falls in all its majesty; here is where the most magical moment of the journey unfolds.
If conditions allow, we’ll take a short walk to bathe in the natural pool beneath the waterfall. We then return to camp for a traditional regional lunch, followed by the journey back to Wakü Lodge.
