Explore two of Canaima’s most iconic waterfalls. Embark on a short journey across the lagoon to El Sapo Falls and Hacha Falls. You will be able to walk beneath the powerful waterfalls, feel their force, and experience nature at its fullest.
We begin at the Wakü Lodge dock, where we board a curiara (indigenous motorized canoe) to navigate across the Canaima Lagoon, surrounded by impressive waterfalls. Along the way, our expert local guides share fascinating stories and facts about the region as we head toward Sapo Falls.
Upon arriving at Antolli Island, we take a short jungle walk to reach the mouth of Sapo Falls, where you can cross behind its curtain of water. It’s a vibrant experience that connects you directly with the power of nature.
We then continue our journey across the lagoon to Hacha Falls. After disembarking, we climb a rustic staircase to access the waterfall, where once again, we’ll walk through it. Its water will be our roof; we will feel its freshness and power.
Depending on the weather and river level, we end the excursion with a swim in a natural pool.
Afterward, we conclude our adventure by returning to Wakü Lodge.
